Charles Petzold

Beethoven’s WoO 52 is a Presto in C minor, but it’s often referred to as a “bagatelle” — a general term for a short piece of piano music, generally of a light and not very serious (perhaps even frivolous) character. Beethoven continued to compose bagatelles through at least 1824.
